Hello m'dears.

My name is Ebony Cooke.

I recently turned sixteen and I am very much alive.

I have wavy sandy blond hair and dark brown eyes, nearly black, which is where I get my name from, of course.

I'm hard harted, yes, with no patience for the living impaired. Zombies, the lot of them. The government should never have let them out on the streets. They should have killed the lot. What's next, vampires?

I, admittedly, am not very rich, though I'll never admit it to my classmates. I'm a theif, take the pretty things that make all my friends think I am wealthy.

I have no history of great importance. I was born in California and spent the first ten years of my life there. Three days after my tenth birthday, we moved to Seattle, and I became more self-concious and began to steal. My parents know and don't do anything about it. I spent the rest of my life fooling everybody, living a lie, everything that made me popular a pretence.

And so here I am today.
